In the film Blade Runner, a replicant is an artificial human that can only be differentiated from humans by aspects of their personalities. This is done through a test of situational questions. The answers the test subject gives determines if they have human sensibilites or not. A replicant does not want to be discovered; they want to pass as human. A replicant looks and acts almost exactly like a human. A replicant’s desire is to live longer, to have more human aspects, but they show very little regard for humans. They have a short life span and are striving to find out how to live longer.
