Rick Deckard, played by Harrison Ford is the main protagonist of the film Blade Runner. Deckard is called upon to help track down rogue replicants and ‘retire’ them. With the possibility that he is a replicant himself, Deckard sets out on his dangerous mission, falling in love with Rachel, played by Sean Young, (a replicant) along the way. His nemesis in the film is Roy Batty, played by Rutger Hauer, whose mission in the film is to get more ‘life’. Deckard works his way through Batty’s fellow replicants, culminating with a show down between Deckard and Batty at the end of the film.
